We had the good fortune of connecting with Tasha Gant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tasha, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is having the ambition, drive, and hustle mentality to keep moving forward. The real estate industry is a tough market. However, in order to be successful. You have to eat, sleep, and breathe real estate. The thought of not making it is not an option. My only goal is to make my clients happy and for them to remember my name.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Licensed Texas Realtor that specializes in Property Locating. A lot of people know me as being “The Leasing or Highrise Queen”. This is basically because I know all of the specials when leasing in Texas. I deal with a lot of Luxury Properties as well as regular properties. Basically, I can help just about anyone find an apartment, condo, home, or highrise in Texas.
What sets me apart from others is that I make sure that my clients are happy with where they live. I also make sure that I respond to every potential client as fast as I can. I have been complimented many times on how fast I return their inquiry..
One of the things that I am super excited about is that I now have a team at my brokerage called “The Gant Group”. I am excited to share my knowledge and expertise with new Realtors and allow them to grow.
The reason I am where I am today in my career is because I was exhausted with working in corporate America. I knew that I had the potential to make more money and do so much better. I Love nice things. However, working in corporate America has a ceiling that I knew was too low for me. Real Estate isn’t easy but if something is too easy, I don’t want it.
The challenges that comes along with being a Realtor/Property Locator are not geared towards anyone else. I basicaly try to exceed my last years goal and beat out myself.
The lessons that I have learned along the way is stay focused and in tune to what’s new. Social media is the biggest key to my success. I get 95% of my new clients from social media. That basically means that I must stay young and in tune with technology.
I want the world to know that whatever you want in life is obtainable. However, you must be willing to give up the some of the old in order to make way for the new.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Houston is an amazing city. One thing I love about the city are there amazing restaurants. So, If I had friends visiting they would have to visit Graces, James Harden restaurant Thirteen, or Kiss Houston. Some nice hang out spots are Bisou, Five Central, or Bar 5015.
Lastly shopping would be done in the River Oaks District or the Houston Galleria.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my Broker, Julia Wang. I remember reaching out to her when I first got licensed and she told me I had to have 10 million in sales. That didn’t stop me. I watched her stories. I read her bio and educated myself on how to be a better Realtor. Later, she opened her own brokerage and allowed me the opportunity to be a Realtor at NextGen. I knew I had to work hard to prove to her that she chose the best. I later won “Most Leases for the First Quarter”. That was one of my most proud moments. Julia showed me that time is money and in order to be the best you have to work hard. I look up to her hustle and I have learned so much being a part of her brokerage.
