We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Cleveland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
My first time training as a bartender was right before the pandemic hit and I was still in Lubbock. But Lubbock bars and Houston bars are not the same at all lol I had to build up more experience here before I could get into the real deal cocktail world. My big sister Sadé started bartending at Social House here in Houston shortly after that and it gave us another thing to talk about and share! And she always had an entrepreneurial spirit, so once I started bartending and was actually good at it she was like you need to do something with it! So here I am a few months later getting booked for wedding receptions! She would be so proud

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I pride my business in being different in how we pay attention to detail. Not only in the way our cocktails are presented, but we make it a point to get to know our clients so that everything is tailored directly to them and their guests! Including professionally printed menus and garnishes hand picked by The Sipologist herself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I like to call myself a foodie! And a drinkie but we won’t get into that LOL. Because of that I like trying something new if I’m going to get dolled up! Brunch on someone’s patio! A good happy hour or social hour as a lot of nice places like to call it. And as far as dinner I do love to sit at the bar because you always seem to have better service, so we are going to scroll on instagram with whatever our taste buds are looking for that night and try something new!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family and friends have been so supportive throughout my whole journey! I get texts and calls like “when is the next video dropping” lol, but what I appreciate the most is that everybody is rooting for me! The biggest shoutout will always go to my big sis. She was the one who told me I should use my talents, and even bought my first smoke machine for old fashioneds! My logo was something we chose together!
