We had the good fortune of connecting with Tempest Styles and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tempest, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Following through! I think reminding myself why I do things made it easier too. I started this new year with the word FOCUS I had to put everything into perspective and gain patience but overall what was important was that I fell through with everything I started.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I feel like the most thing that sets me apart from others is that I am truly unapologetically me. I do what I want because I can, I say what I want because I can, and I am who I am because I can be. I think that even growing up what people was attracted most to me was that simple fact. All of my friends were so amazed that I did the things that I did. I never did them for anyone I simply did them and see nothing wrong with them. I didn’t get, even to this day, The fear behind being who you truly were. The only struggle I had with it was making people except it. But now I care less about if you except me or not, now I am me love it or leave it alone.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My bed! Lol, runner up my couch. Lol. No, but really I am a huge homebody. When I go out it’s more to Orchard Beach to stare into the water, or to a nearby bar club to have a few drinks. I don’t really consider being out amongst everyone else’s energy as fun. I do that for a living, going out to clubs, parties, events, etc. So for fun, I relax, I live a little, but my way. I mean, I’m from the Bronx so pretty much anywhere in the X.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly shout out to me! Shout out to all my hard work and dedication. Shout out to not letting me down and sticking with the plan, and shout out to my intuition and listening to my spiritual guidance. I really did this alone.
