We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiara Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiara, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was highlighting the importance of being healthy & pursuing a healthy diet in the African American Community. Many of us, African American people, grow up eating very unhealthy, and as a result that same unhealthy diet follows us into adulthood unless we make a decision to change it. My business,JuiceologyHTX, provides the option of including 100% all natural cold pressed juice into your everyday diet. A healthy alternative to unhealthy food choices.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a true fan of the fun atmosphere Houston provides. Some of my favorite places to hang out, have a drink, or eat are Atomic bottle, Amahle Lounge, Phil & Derek’s, The Rouxpour, Davenport, the domain, & Turkey Leg hut!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout another business owner Dymond Harris. Email address is hello@dymenaiidesigns.com. She has helped me tremendously in the startup of my business by providing me with beautiful designs, business cards, and labels.
