Meet Tonya Huynh | Real Estate Agent & Lupus Warrior

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tonya Huynh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tonya, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
When I began my real estate journey, I was consumed by the “hustle culture”. To the point where I had to carve out time to eat and spend quality time with my loved ones. After being recently diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis, I have been given the opportunity to truly slow down. It is very possible to be successful with a full-filling career and home life.
Every day is a struggle to keep everything in balance but it is a beautiful chance to even being to able to. Some days may be more difficult than the next; however, consistency and a positive mind will always keep you grounded.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Houston Realtor and I am extremely proud to be able to close out my first real estate year at $4 Million in closed sales. In my second year I have already closed $3.3 Million in sales. How I got here was through the constant love from my first clients. No matter the size of each transaction, I treated my first customer as my last and with conducting a strong and consistent service, my business took off. People will not remember what you say, but they sure remember how you made them feel.
Tonya Huynh Real Estate is about finding not only a house but a home. I believe that each transaction is different but with my expertise and guidance, 100% of my clients are always happy. Buying a home is one of the biggest purchases someone makes in their life. To approach such a heavy task with a clear mind and a good team is what you get when choosing Tonya Huynh Real Estate!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Houston is known for its FOOD! My all time favorite spots are Chinatown, the Heights, and Downtown! From grabbing the best boba in town to eating street tacos, Houston does not fail. My all-time favorite spot for Korean Barbecue is in K-town called Bori. For a great warm bowl of pho, Pho Sapa in Chinatown is where you need to go for authentic Vietnamese flavors. If sushi if your thing, the best restaurant in town has to be Kata Robata, but don’t let the raw fish stop you. Kata Robata is known to have amazing hot food like their Wagyu skewers. Now that we are on the topic of meat, you cannot leave Houston with trying Taste of Texas. Great quality steaks and an all-encompassing salad bar! Thirsty? Tea-top or Xing Fu Tang has some of the best boba. Prepare to eat!
One of my favorite parts of Houston is also the Museum District. We have an amazing Art Museum with tunnel lights along with the Science Museum that has tons of interactive features. Not to mention NASA Space Center! Houston is an amazing city and I truly love the Southern Hospitality.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a HUGE shoutout to NextGen Real Estate specifically the team behind the great company. Julia Wang, Andrea Tran, and Isamari Nguyen have made me feel such profound amounts of support and love. With their leadership and guidance, I am truly proud to be a NextGen agent. Besides paving the road for the future of real estate, NextGen also empowers every single agent to recognize our potential and embrace our individuality.
