We had the good fortune of connecting with Travis Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Travis, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always knew I would start a business someday, the hard part was just finding the right business to get into. Your business should be something you’re interested in, passionate about, & and can execute at a high level or at least better than others. Which is the reason I started Flashbar Phoot Booth, This was my first business and I had no idea what I was doing and was just leading with my passion for photography and wanting to turn everything into a learning experience. 4 years later I feel like we’re finally growing the business into the way we envisioned to be in our minds when we started.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’ve built Flashbar Photo Booth to specialize in Houston events specifically catering weddings and corporate events. We always strive to offer a Quality, Modern, Professional, and Fun experience that your guests will think is awesome. I’m most proud of the way we are able to personalize our experience to every event. For example, our corporate clients request brand activations to put their brand on full display for big expo events. From the props, screens, messaging, artwork, prints, everything is geared to fully display their brand and their message for the event. We’re proud to have worked with H-E-B, Whirlpool, Google Cloud, In Mode, Texas Children, and many other exciting brands. It was definability not easy to get to this point in our business. We started off doing events in hot summer garages and just kept working until we built a brand and reputation that was able to service bigger and better events. Our key factor to growing the business was focusing in on our target customer and gearing all of our marketing towards our nitch. I’ve learned a lot about business over the years, we’ve hired employees, opened office space, and serviced hundreds of clients over the years. The main lesson I’ve learned is to focus on your infrastructure and business processes. If you have those 2 in place you will be able to run a more efficient business and scale your business as needed. I’m not sure about the world but Houston should know that Flashbar Photo Booth is striving to be the #1 photo booth in Houston. I’m the owner and I care about each and every event. Flashbar mission is to focus on providing the best quality photos or content while keeping our experience personalized, fun, & entertaining for guests.
