We had the good fortune of connecting with Trevyon White and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trevyon, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my business meant building a brand and name for not only myself, but for my family as well. Family means the world to me. Growing up I was always in the kitchen whenever anyone of my family members would be preparing meals. I knew that I wanted to be a chef then. I discovered my true passion for cooking in high school, but it wasn’t until years later that I decided to pursue culinary school and become a professional chef.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Initially I was pursuing a career as a Mechanical Engineer. By my junior year of college, I started to realize that my heart was not in it, so I left that life behind and enrolled into culinary school. Culinary school taught me a lot such as punctuality, preparedness, and communication. I used those skills to help me launch my business & network. During my two years in culinary school, I worked at The Houston Zoo as a catering cook & eventually became the Sous Chef. There I learned how to prepare lavish meals for large groups of people, proper food/event preparation, and management of staff. Immediately after graduating culinary school, I took on two jobs while also running my own business. Patience, determination, and most importantly God have helped me get to where I am today.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shoutout to CJ’s Masterpiece. We’ve been working together as of late, and he has shown me a lot & given me a lot of new experiences that I had yet to endure.
