We had the good fortune of connecting with Victor Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victor, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I was born and raised in the state of Michoacan, Mexico in a family of five boys and our parents. We were taught that family is an integral part of society and learned to love, respect, and support each other while also being good neighbors. Every weekend, we would gather at my grandma’s house and play with our cousins for hours. My dad worked long hours from Monday to Saturday, instilling in us the value of hard work to support our family.
When I moved to the U.S. at the age of 17, I was able to learn English within 1-2 years, just in time to start college. At that time, my dad, two of my brothers, and I were all working to build a new life here. We would bring our paychecks home, and my mom managed everything else—paying rent, bills, and buying groceries.
I went straight into college after graduating high school and three years later I received my license as a Registered Nurse. I began working with Adults and shortly after I discovered my passion of working with Infants and children which motivated me to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where I was amazed by seeing how human life begins at birth, It can be violent and beautiful at the same time. During that time, I got married and had my son Gael a year later. He came to change my life and be my greatest teacher and motivation to keep pushing to have a better life. Eventually, I made ways to the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit where I took care of many children undergoing heart surgery and transplants. Talk about Intensity!
For a year, I explored the family business of Ice Cream which was not very friendly to me. We had a contractor steal from us and I had to get involved in building out the shop after that person took off with over $30K and building materials. We were able to open the store right after hurricane Harvey and managed to stay in business for one year and eventually sold it to my family.
Eventually, I was introduced to the world of real estate and discovered not only the joy it brings but also its immense potential as a business and career. It offers the opportunity to create a comfortable life and generational wealth for my family by helping others achieve their dreams of homeownership.
Every experience I’ve had has been a stepping stone that prepared me for who I am today. Growing up surrounded by family, working hard, moving to another country, and contributing to our family finances as many young people do, have all shaped my journey. My time as a healthcare worker, where I helped others heal, further instilled in me the desire to serve. Starting a business and navigating its challenges has taught me invaluable lessons on resilience, guiding me to use my life experiences to counsel and support others while reminding me to never give up.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I believe that my commitment to provide service guided by honesty, integrity, reliability, trust and leading from the heart and the best interest for my clients in mind is what sets my apart and makes me unique in my field. I really enjoy helping people achieve the dream of homeownership to those who thought that it was not possible for that had been denied or not cared for somewhere else. I like to lead by example and by turning business relationships into friendships that go beyond the transaction. I have learned that as long as I stay true to myself, the people that need of my services will always find me. Over the years, I have transformed myself from a God fearing individual to a God Loving individual and that allows me to see myself in others so that I can better understand and be of service to my neighbors and community.

What I want the world to know is not about me but rather about themselves. We are all lucky to be able to share time and space in this beautiful life and that we are here to learn, grow and experience love.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people that have helped me throughout the years but I think my family are the key to everything.
