We had the good fortune of connecting with Yolanda Vallier and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yolanda, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe risks are an intrinsic aspect of life and inevitable for growth in life and career. Even as babies, learning to walk involves the risk of falling. But we all embraced the challenge, fell, and got back up until the risk paid off! I have always been somewhat of a risk-taker. However, I must admit the older I get the more I calculate the risks! As an entrepreneur, with aspirations to see, manifest, and sustain a vision, risks are par for the course. Having the courage to press through and overcome the ‘what-ifs’ is what propels me forward. I’ve learned that you will never know what is possible if you don’t step out and go for it. Having this mentally has really allowed me to witness the hand of God on my life as I’ve stepped out and believed that if I would just get in the race, only then would I even have the possibility of winning.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Styled and Staged Spaces is a Houston-based Interior Design and Home Staging company. We beautify spaces both to live in and to prepare for sale in the marketplace. We bring our passion for color, texture, architecture, art, and furniture to projects and customize interior styles that our clients adore! Our creative design concepts, color philosophy, furniture spacing, and exquisite taste in home interiors and accessories are the foundation for every project. Our business approach is unique in that we follow the elements of interior design and decorating, yet also bring a fresh perspective that oftentimes create new boundaries. Sometimes less is more and sometimes over-the-top is called for. We know the difference between the two and when to effectively apply each! We are pleased when our clients love the spaces we design for them. We have a great track record that we are very proud of. The year 2020 brought its share of challenges. We endured, stayed the course, and look forward to what 2021 will bring. We have something very exciting on the horizon, so please stay tuned!

As co-founders of Styled and Staged Spaces, Lynette and I owe so much to Dr Dana Carson. Not only is he our spiritual father in ministry (The R.O.C.K.), he is also a brilliant businessman and entrepreneur. His impartation in our lives have empowered us to be a witness for Christ, imparted the knowledge needed to live Kingdom-minded lives, and given us the tools and advice needed to be successful entrepreneurs. So shout out to Dr Dana Carson for his encouragement, support, and mentorship!
