Meet Zharkynay Issabekova | Co-owner of cleaning company Superb Maids Houston

We had the good fortune of connecting with Zharkynay Issabekova and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zharkynay, how do you think about risk?
My sister Altynay and I have always been risk averse, we graduated universities in Kazakhstan, got our master’s degrees in the United Kingdom and then worked for Chevron business units in the UK and Kazakhstan. In other words, we both stuck to the traditional career path. Our turning point was maternity leave, when we realized how hard it is to keep a work life balance; we’ve decided that it is worth trying starting our own business and opened a coffee shop in Kazakhstan with our friend. This experience proved that taking risk and hard work pays off, and now we put ourselves to a bigger challenge, opening a business in the United States. 

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our cleaning company called Superb Maids Houston is dedicated to providing top-notch and professional cleaning services for residential and commercial properties. Our aim is not only to provide high quality service, which is our top priority, but also ensure that every customer has an amazing experience.

We offer a wide range of services, including deep cleaning, recurring cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, and post construction cleaning. Our experienced and trained team uses high quality products and the latest cleaning techniques to ensure a spotless and healthy environment for our clients.

Customer satisfaction and a clean, safe space are our top priorities. Most importantly, we are here to make everyday life easier and to provide people with the freedom to focus on what truly matters to them, leading to a more enjoyable and fulfilling life. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Since our family lives in Rice Village, it’s certain that we would begin our mornings by indulging a cup of coffee at Croissant Brioche or Badolina. Following this delightful ritual, we would take a stroll to Hermann Park, passing by the inspiring campus of Rice University, where my husband is currently pursuing his master’s degree. We would definitely visit main sights in Houston like Space Center, numerous museums and parks. After eventful days, we would enjoy dinners at our favorite places like Pappasito’s and The Pit Room.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Both my sister and I are fortunate to have husbands who have been an incredible source of support and belief in our success. If it weren’t for their trust in us, we wouldn’t have ventured into starting a business in Kazakhstan. Furthermore, we wouldn’t have taken the leap to start a cleaning business in the United States.

Additionally, I would like to thank the individuals we collaborate with in the United States. Childhood friends Elena and Nargi, the founders of Superb Maids, established the company in Las Vegas back in 2015. We chose to align ourselves with the individuals behind this esteemed brand, and we are genuinely delighted to have formed a partnership with them. We eagerly anticipate a long-lasting and fruitful relationship together.
