Parenting series: having a positive impact

Parenting is an incredibly important responsibility and so we wanted to get a conversation going with input from parents in the community. We asked them: what is the most important thing you’ve done as a parent? We’ve highlighted some of the responses below.

The most important thing we’ve done as parents is teaching our children that challenges don’t define them. Through our own example, we’ve tried to show them the value of hard work, perseverance, faith, and kindness. As a parent, I believe the most important thing I’ve done is point my children to Jesus. Life has challenges, uncertainties, and seasons we can’t control, and having God as their foundation gives children strength, peace, guidance, and hope no matter what comes their way.
