As a parent, I believe and know the most important job I have as a parent is to give them God. I know my responsibilities are to provide, pour into the, nurture, and protect them. But all that means nothing if I do not give them God. I make sure my children know that God is the head of household and he is always in control. When children growing up knowing God, they will know that nothing is impossible and I know that when you give a child the word of God, you give them the essential blueprint of life. I am a flawed parent like everyone else, but I don’t hide it from my kids. I’m honest with them when I fail or can’t handle something. I’ll tell them, “I’m sorry” or “I don’t have the answer yet, but I’ll get it for you. We’ll figure this out together”. That is the trick. Therefore, my kids really seemed inspired when I stayed transparent with them as I worked hard to follow my dream to become an award-winning author.
