We had the good fortune of connecting with Simone Staine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Simone, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by the love that I get to capture. Self love, romantic love, the love of the families I work with, it all fuels me and my desire to continue photography.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have always loved photos, for as long as I can remember. My Mom took hundred of photos of us growing up, all the time & I am so grateful! Photos are such an incredible way to “bottle up a moment” and that is exactly what I strive to do. I want to capture emotional, genuine, fun moments in your life.

My photography career started when several friends noticed that I was always making cute holiday set ups for my daughter and asked what I was going to do for her for Christmas. I decided to invite over a few friends and let them take pictures of their kids with the props I had put together. From there several of them asked me to do their family photos or milestone sessions and 3 years later here I am.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Food is my love language so I love strolling The Waterway in the Woodlands. I always take out of towners down there to eat our way through all the restaurants. Drinks at one restaurant, an appetizer at another, dinner somewhere and then dessert somewhere else. It’s such a beautiful area full of so many different things to do and see.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to first thank the ladies in my stay-at-home-mom group who encouraged me to start this business! And I need to thank Sylvia McDonald of Mi Casa Su Casa and her Boss Babe Brunch gang for all of their amazing support over the past year.
