We had the good fortune of connecting with Marisela Jimenez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marisela, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Making a difference in the lives of people. Because that is my purpose, and I enjoy what I do.

What should our readers know about your business?
I lead Economic Development Partnerships and AbrirUp. Both businesses collaborate in transforming communities, removing barriers, and improving the quality of life of people.

I’m set apart by four core principles: Trust, Respect, Integrity, Stewardship.

I’m proud and excited to help people in communities where systemic inequality remains.

My career has evolved as a result of working for diverse companies while obtaining my professional education in Business Management. I’m applying business experience and education in helping people to learn effective ways to manage their business.

No. It was not easy. However, I believe in self-determination.

I learned that my career, success, and goals are my responsibility. I learned that it is up to me to achieve my goals. I learned that I don’t have to ask for permission to be successful. I learned that I don’t have to apologize for being the best version of myself.

I want the world to know that I believe in my purpose, and I will pursue it regardless of whether others support me or not. I’m committed to honoring what I came to do in this world, and I will get it done.
