We had the good fortune of connecting with Dameon “Bagg$$” Broussard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dameon “Bagg$$”, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
What made me want to pursue music is that I’m not a talkative person so I use music to tell people my story. Also music brings people together to enjoy themselves. Music is a huge part of my culture and I enjoy seeing and being part of something so influential.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is Ive been doing it on my own. I invest my own money and time. I’ve put in the work of a whole team over the years. It hasn’t been easy but nothing in life that’s easy is worth keeping. I prefer to grind and work instead of asking for handouts or riding someone else’s wave. Bagglyfe Mafia is the brand on the rise and will one day be a household name.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly I’m not on the scene as much as I should be being an artist. I’m the true definition of a homebody. I like to eat though so when I’m out it’s almost a guarantee I’m eating somewhere. Burns BBQ, Triple Js BBQ, Whataburger, Sneaky Eats are just a few spots for great food.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I want to give a shoutout to my kids Bryson, Brayden and Arielle. My label and brand Bagglyfe Mafia. And lastly I’d like to give thanks to EVERYONE who doubted me, turned on me or has ever hated on me. I really BEAT THE ODDS!!!
