We had the good fortune of connecting with Virginia A. Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Virginia A., as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
The most important thing I’ve done as a parent, is allowing my kids to see me operate in leadership positions. My children have watched me grow throughout the years. They have seen me own multiple business. They have watched me, never give up despite opposition. They have watched me, and know what it takes to be successful at anything they set their minds to.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart from others is my ability to execute a service when it’s brought to me. I have the ability to come as close to the desired style as possible. I am where I am today, because I know how to listen and be taught. I don’t think I know everything. I had the help of other great leaders along the way as well. Some of the challenges I faced, are employees not wanting to be team players and try to sabotage my business. I always remain standing despite the struggles. I overcame them by continuing to focus on my business and building more creative styles and braids for my clients to enjoy! I’ve learned along the way to trust, no man, and to be careful about who you share your business plans with because not everyone has your best interest at heart. I want the world to know that I stand 100% behind my brand and I work one hundred percent with integrity, and I love everyone, no matter the race. I love to see everyone happy I love to see everyone win!!!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of the most exciting places in the city or steak 48, which is located at 4444 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77027. If you want to get some laughs, the Houston improv would be a great place to go hang out it’s located at 7620 Katy Tollway #45, Houston, TX 77024.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
