We had the good fortune of connecting with Jailine Isita and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jailine, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The first thought behind starting my business was Can I do it? I feel like we get so many mixed emotions but knowing that God was guiding me made the emotions less intense.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a full time medical assistant . Going to school was not easy at all. I would have to walk to school sometimes because I didn’t have a car and didn’t have a ride. I would sometimes ride the metro but there was times where I couldn’t afford it. I also remember that I wouldn’t even have money to buy lunch. my “friends” would walk in with lunch and I would be like oh that looks good and they would tell me oh yeah girl the gas station is like right there you should go. I didn’t have money nor a car to drive there. I learned that Gods faithfulness was the best thing that happened. No matter how hard things are you got this! Put it in Gods hands and watch how He surprises you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh man this is hard. I honestly would take them to San Antonio! But since we are talking about Houston lol. I feel like I would take them to church, downtown, and other touristic attraction places.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The person who I want to shout out first is of course God who has been providing, giving me ideas and of course been supportive. Second person would be my aunt. She has been very supportive and goes with me to events when I need help
