Meet Victoria Slater | Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Slater and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Victoria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Before opening our business, I lived in NYC where I worked for a similar company and fell in love with it! My Mom and I have always had a deep love for Disney and when we realized there wasn’t a company like this here in Texas, we jumped on it and started making plans right away!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
After I graduated high school, I was accepted into and attended the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts where I earned my associate’s degree in performing arts for tv/film. So getting into a character and fulling owning it was something I was trained for, throw in my passion for Disney and boom! Our company was made! My mom and I are also crafty people, especially my mom, so when we run into problems, like for example our newest character Barbie, since the movie is so new there is no one really selling her costume or wig, but because my mom is amazing, she was able to completely hand make the dress so we could add her just in time for the movie premiere! We truly use every bit of our skills to make each party/ event we are hired for, magical and that starts with the details!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The first thing we would do is go to the beach! Galveston or Corpus Christi, it is too hot to not be at the beach! And it isn’t a Texas getaway without spending a Friday night at a dance hall like Johnny B Daltons in Conroe or District 249 and ending it with the best fast food in Texas, Whataburger! I am also a huge animal lover so we would have to visit the newly renovated Houston Zoo or the Houston Interactive Aquarium and Animal Preserve where you can interact and pet multiple exotic animals!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Mom. She’s always been there and when I said I wanted to be a princess, she said “okay” and here we are! She is the best partner, everything I lack in, she makes up for it ten fold.
