We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Jaimes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittney, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business helps the community and the world by helping others feel comfortable and confident in their skin. When we have troubles in our skin it may often lead to insecurities for us. It affects the way we talk to others and how we carry ourselves in our society. I am a licensed esthetician who offers facial treatments targeting clients skin concerns. I love helping others see a difference in their skin bringing a bit of confidence to them!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Alinbaesthetics is unique because it puts the time and care into each and every client. Appointments are tailored to one’s concerns and questions. Not only do you come in for a facial but you leave learning about your skin and what it needs. I love to share my knowledge, it is another way I can help others by educating them in what I know. In the treatment room we discuss medical history, skincare products, how to take care of your skin, and even what foods may be good for your gut health. I am most excited about expanding my business once I have graduated from college. I am double majoring in Nutrition and Nursing in order to become a registered dietitian and a registered nurse. These two careers will educate me more on how I can achieve greater results on clients skin and health. It was not easy starting my own business, but I did not fear it. I was 19 years old fresh out of Highschool knowing what I wanted to do and what I had to do to get there. At 15 years old my sisters and I started our own cake pops business and personalized products/apparel business. My parents also started their own business when I was in middle school so the business mindset never feared me. What made me nervous was finding the right clientele for my company. A challenge I faced was becoming comfortable in front of a camera. I knew I had to advertise my business and knew that social media plays a huge roll on todays “word of mouth”. Getting out of my comfort zone was scary but with time and lots of practice I am now confident in how I carry my business. I learned that I should not put importance in what others think of me. Holding back from growing as a successful person just because I was scared that others would judge me was not acceptable. I want the world to know that anything is possible if you believe in yourself. It’s amazing when others believe in you but if you do not believe that you are capable of making a difference in this world then you will never get to where you want to become as a person. Owning a business doesn’t define you, who you are as a person and how you treat others is what defines you. Putting your heart, time, and effort into your business is what helps you become successful. I was made to walk this earth to help others in any way I can, even if that means treating others skin concerns. It’s my passion and my calling.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting the area I’d take her to watch an outdoor movie at the Showboat Drive In Cinema. But first we would stop by for some Chipotle and candy before arriving, that way we have food to enjoy during the movie. I would take her to eat at Avesta Persian Grill knowing we love middle eastern food. Since we are over age I would take her to drink at Axelrad since it is a calm hangout spot to catch up. We could take pictures at their Photo Booth, lay on the hammocks, and listen to their live music while enjoying a drink. I would also take her to Cidercade to enjoy some video arcades and drinks. Lastly I would take her to go karting, paintballing, painting with a twist, the aquarium, NASA, and the art museum.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my family. They have always pushed me to be the best at what I do. From applying to beauty school to starting my own business, they have been my backbone to my success. Words of encouragement, financial support, and being the guinea pigs of my facial treatments training are some ways my family has supported me. Never has there been doubt in me and that is why I know I am the way I am.
