We had the good fortune of connecting with Topher McKeon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Topher, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
As cliché as it is I have to say it’s my family and my friends, they always push me and love to hear the music I create and the reactions to every track make all of the time spent in the studio and all the time writing worth it no matter what the track or records do one it is out in the world.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It wasn’t easy to get where I am at but I’m most proud of all of the music I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of and I’m not stuck in one genre one day I could be mixing a rap song and the next I could be working on an indie alternative song. As for what I’m most excited about, it’s gotta be all of the sessions I already have on the books for this year and I’m hoping to add more.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to start with my uncle when I think about some of my earliest memories of him it’s him playing the guitar. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Lynn Bryngelson he got me started with audio engineering along with my professors in college and then my friends that I make some of my music with.
