Meet Sal Soriano | SSCHICAGOMUSIC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sal Soriano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sal, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have always had a love for creativity; particularly in music. Since a young kid, I have been captivated to the audio aspect of art. Being a first generation Mexican-American in this country, really helped me diversify to basically; every group/entity/genre of music that exists. My native and first language is Spanish, even though, I picked up English rapidly. I originally pursued my artistic/creative career through poetry. Hand written, non-destination verbiage via my own eyes & words. This resulted in lyrics that eventually were used in my own creations & projects related to my business.

What should our readers know about your business?
To date, I have been in the music business (professionally) for about 6 years. During this time, I have accomplished and met criteria that local seniority artists have not. Art is never about boasting, yet about the uplifting and fulfilment of the culture. Intertwined with the networking of other individuals, in an aligned position, I have been given the opportunity to demonstrate and pursue my passion. I have used my rapid growth and success to help out my affiliates throughout this time. From FM radio, SiriusXM radio, headliner shows, openers for legends, club play, and out of state performances, we make sure our craft is noticed and not taken for granted..

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a week long trip with my best friend, I would make sure that they travel with me for any & every event I’m appearing in. Since interstate travel is essential for this industry, we always have to make the most out of our time. Personally, I make an effort to establish time for fun and leisure during every trip. Life is never all work. Life can’t be all work. Eventually, you have to open your eyes, unleash your senses and smell the roses.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
SSCHICAGOMUSIC LLC is the name. That being said, no one in life works 100% alone. I want to dedicate this shoutout to the crew for my upcoming single.
