We had the good fortune of connecting with Mykyta (Mick) Rudskyi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mykyta (Mick), how do you think about risk?
The quote “the one who doesn’t risk never drinks champagne” resonates deeply with me. My first risk, perhaps less glamorous, was touching a hot coffee pot as a child (curiosity got the best of me at 4 years old!).
My biggest risk was moving to the US in 2019. My English was still developing, I didn’t have a pre-established network, and I was leaving behind a comfortable environment. However, I was driven by a desire to challenge myself and expand my horizons.
This decision pushed me to develop my communication skills and build a network from scratch. It wasn’t always easy, but by stepping outside my comfort zone, I’ve gained valuable experiences and grown as an individual
Every action carries an element of risk, big or small. Raising your hand in a meeting to share your ideas, taking on a challenging project, or starting your business are all opportunities for growth and learning. While some risks might not always lead to the desired outcome, the journey itself shapes us and equips us with valuable skills. The key is to approach challenges with enthusiasm and learn from both successes and setbacks.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Bridgital, we specialize in empowering small businesses by automating and refining processes, systems, and operations. Our mission goes beyond mere technical enhancements; it’s about an increase in capacity to focus on growing business, and be happier overall. Witnessing our clients thrive, freed from the inefficiency, and engaging in work they’re passionate about, is our greatest reward.
Starting Bridgital was a journey. The early days taught me a vital lesson: while planning is essential, it’s the execution that makes the difference. This philosophy is at the heart of what we offer – not just solutions, but pathways to action for businesses ready to elevate their operations.
What excites us most? The feedback from our clients. There’s an incomparable value in hearing that our services not only meet but exceed expectations, driving growth, and increased productivity.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you ask any Houstonian what to do here, the likelihood of them mentioning “food” is close to 99.9%. It makes perfect sense, as Houston’s diverse population blesses us with a variety of cuisines. Seafood? Yes. Meats? Yes. Authentic [insert nationality] food? Most likely yes, you just need to be in the right neighborhood.
Anyway, after indulging in Houston’s vibrant food scene, we can move on to a beautiful hangout spot – Axelrad Beer Garden. Even if, like me, you don’t drink, Axelrad offers more than just beverages. The live music, the atmosphere, and the lovely patio make it a great place to be. They even have beautiful lighting throughout, adding to the inviting ambiance.
Once we’ve finished enjoying the delicious food and the lovely bar, head straight to Galveston Beach to soak up the sunrise and marvel at the endless beauty of the ocean.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
