We had the good fortune of connecting with Donna Freeman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Donna, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
I value sharing my knowledge to help clients meet their goals, whether it’s pain relief, performance, less anxiety, or something else entirely. I am constantly learning. Science is rapidly advancing, particularly in the fields of neurology and technology. I really enjoy finding new tools and protocols that can help accelerate recovery and rehabilitation so my clients feel their best as quickly as possible. I’ve combined my specialized training with various technologies like Pulse Electromagnetic Field (PEMF), NeurOptimal, Infrared Sauna, AO Scanner, Solex Infinity Wand, and others into a program called “Human Body Mechanics”. The program has 3 components: Assess, Correct and Progress. We start with an assessment of the client’s overall health including physical, mental, and emotional well-being. During sessions, we utilize a variety of tools and techniques for Corrections tailored to each client’s unique body. Then to support continued improvement towards comprehensive wellness goals, we provide tailored homework assignments to help clients Progress between appointments. Finally, we track progress across sessions to ensure maximum benefits.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I had ridiculous low back pain. I sought help and found a body worker who helped resolve it. After just a few weeks, I was out of pain and avoided the surgery that had been recommended. I became a massage therapist because I figured it would be a good life helping others live pain-free.

As I worked with more and more clients, I began to really appreciate the role the central nervous system plays on our overall well-being. I sought as much Continued Education as I could find on tools and techniques for addressing nervous system problems. Over the years, I’ve developed unique expertise in identifying systemic, underlying issues that clients may not even be aware exist. The brain is constantly sending signals to and receiving signals from the rest of the body. A physical injury can lead to emotional imbalance due to the change in the nerve signals going between the brain and body. I’ve become an expert at helping clients retrain the nervous system. For example, I observe whether people are comfortable when I’m in their space. The CNS makes associations of what’s safe and what’s not. We can change those associations to help clients feel safe which helps with pain, flexibility, anxiety, stress and so much more.

We offer a few specialized focus areas within our Human Body Mechanics program including: Restorative Breathing, Concussion protocol, and Better Brain/Better You. Another thing that differentiates us is our use of advanced technologies to accelerate improved wellness. We’ve invested in a variety of technologies to support each of these programs including Dolphin MPS, Red light therapy, zHealth, NeurOptimal, Infrared Sauna, AO Scan, Solex Infinity Wand, and others. And some of our protocols can be delivered remotely via Zoom!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love Bellaire and tend to stick around here. We would start our day with breakfast tacos at Cedar Street Cafe then head off to The Houston Zoo. I’d take them to dinner at The 401. During the week, we would make our way to NASA, the Museum District, and to see a show at one of the fantastic Houston theaters.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My educators. I’ve learned from the best like Erik Dalton who has been leading myoskeletal alignment technique for decades, Lois Laynee who developed the Restorative Breathing program, and other pioneer trainers at companies like Z Health, Neurokinetic Therapy, Dolphin MPS, and Electrons Plus,
