Hi Caitlin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My decision to embark on the journey of starting your own business in the luxury mobile bartending space embodies a thoughtful and comprehensive approach, driven by a multitude of motivations. Rooted in my passion for bartending, particularly within the realm of luxury services, The Pour Tour Mobile Wine and Cocktail Bar, signifies a deep connection to the craft and a desire to bring it to new heights of sophistication and exclusivity. Alongside this passion, my pursuit of work/life balance underscores a commitment to prioritizing personal well-being and family time, even as I engage in meaningful work. It certainly hasn’t been an easy road to get to where I am today in my business journey. There were countless challenges along the way, but looking back, every obstacle was worth it, and I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything in the world!
Taking the leap of faith to pursue my ‘passion project’ full-time was a decision filled with uncertainty, but it’s one that I’m incredibly grateful for. Despite the inevitable ups and downs, the joyous moments always outweighed the tough times.

Being an entrepreneur can be daunting, but I’ve learned that having unwavering belief in yourself, coupled with the support and encouragement of loved ones, can make all the difference. It’s about having that inner conviction that success is not only possible but inevitable. I firmly believe that with the right mindset and a strong support system, you can overcome any challenge that comes your way. While the journey may be scary at times, the rewards of chasing your dreams and building something you’re truly passionate about are immeasurable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love this question! If you are in the mood for fine dining, I would definitely check out Georgia James, Trulucks, and Steak 48! My favorite bars to visit are Bandista( a speakeasy bar hidden in the Four Seasons Hotel), Bloom and Bee ( restaurant inside of the Post Oak Hotel) and The Little Hen for brunch and cocktails! I would visit City Centre and the River Oaks District for food and shopping and catch a movie at the rooftop Cinema Club Uptown in addition to take a walk at Discovery Green and Hermann Park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband, Wayne, for his exceptional love, encouragement, and support! His unwavering dedication to my well-being, his constant words of encouragement, and his endless support in every endeavor I pursue have really helped me bring The Pour Tour to life!

I also want to take a moment to recognize a very dear friend of mine, Brandy Foreman. At a crucial point in my life, when I was consumed by the demands of corporate America and neglecting my own passions, Brandy urged me to pursue what truly mattered to me. Her words planted the seed of my ‘passion project,’ The Pour Tour, which has since blossomed into a source of joy and purpose in my life!
