We had the good fortune of connecting with Jesse Schliebe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jesse, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
To create a brand that not only represented me and what I’ve gone through but to also bring awareness about mental health. Then my clothing company #MHM was born.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart from everyone else is everything. I got to where I am professionally by never quitting. It hasn’t been easy and I wouldn’t recommend taking the path I took unless you’re ready to sacrifice everything from your soul to your life. I overcame homelessness, drug addiction and every form of abuse you can think of by turning to God and believing in myself and God’s ability to sustain and propel me. I’ve learned countless lessons along the way. One ill share with you is youll never know your worth if you keep giving out discounts. Take that how you wish. I want the world to know they’re not alone and if nobody cares, Tupac cares. I care also but just thought it’d make yall smile.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not the best at panning trips, I’ve been broke my whole life and wouldn’t even know where to begin.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God first and foremost, other than that, nobody deserves the credit for what I’ve done and gone through. Although, I would like to shout out Jrod The Problem aka Jeremiah Patron. A friend and colleague who has been a huge inspiration and help along the way.
