We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Deleon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business makes a positive impact on the community and the world in several ways. Firstly, I assist and guide individuals in achieving their real estate goals, which not only helps them secure their dream homes but also contributes to the stability and growth of our community.

Furthermore, the success of my business enables us to give back in meaningful ways. Every year, I host a charity event that raises funds and awareness for important causes, fostering a spirit of generosity and support within the community.

In addition to my charitable efforts, I personally coach a softball team, dedicating time to mentor and inspire the next generation of young women. Through coaching, I am dedicated to fostering both mental and physical strength in these athletes, empowering them to realize their potential and instilling in them the belief that they can achieve anything they set their minds to. This holistic approach allows us to make a positive impact, nurturing strong, confident individuals who contribute positively to society.

As the event coordinator at our brokerage, I have the privilege of organizing events that bring people together, fostering strong business relationships and creating opportunities for others to succeed. This role allows me to help others build better businesses, contributing to the overall economic and social well-being of our community.

What should our readers know about your business?
Man these are some great questions! Where to start?! LOL
What sets me apart is that I genuinely love what I do. It’s more than just a transaction for me—it’s a passion. Helping someone achieve their real estate dreams, especially when they thought it was unattainable, and seeing their emotions overflow when they receive their keys or a check, is a feeling money can’t buy.

What am I most proud of? I’d say that becoming my own boss has truly allowed me to evolve into the woman I feel destined to be. In the corporate world, I always had this nagging feeling that I was made for more, even if I didn’t know what it was at the time. Stepping out on faith was the best decision I ever made.

I got to where I am today by adopting a no-Plan-B mentality. I told myself to go out there and make it happen. God instilled in me a hustle mentality and creativity—traits that can’t be taught. Either you have them, or you don’t, and it’s important not to waste them.

Was it easy? Heck no. There were many nights when I second-guessed myself and wondered if I could be successful among seasoned agents. Social media often made it seem like everyone else was closing deals effortlessly while I was just trying to land my first few. Overcoming this was somewhat easier for me because I firmly believe that what’s meant for me will come to me. I kept my head down, focused on reaching the next level, and educated myself to better assist current and future clients.

My brand is derived from my last name, Deleon, which means Lion in Spanish. This name reflects my persona, character traits, and business model. I am direct yet comforting, and I fiercely advocate for each client to ensure they get what they deserve. Every client is unique, and I pride myself on my ability to adapt accordingly. I place great importance on excellent communication and customer service skills.

In summary, my business is built on passion, resilience, and a commitment to helping others. I want the world to know that I am dedicated to making a positive impact and that my journey is driven by faith, hard work, and an unwavering belief in what I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First I would take them to our awesome new office located in the Post HTX that has rooftop views of Downtown Houston that are absolutely stunning!
We then would go have one of the best margaritas and nachos at a staple in Houston, the original Ninfas on Navigation followed by going to a Astros game to feel the energy Houston serves!
Next day, we would then go enjoy a rooftop pool at the Marquis Hotel in Downtown Houston and enjoy the sun with some refreshing drinks.
Wednesday would be set for Wine Down Wednesday at a Steak house, probably Steak 48 or Brennars on the Bayou!
Thursday would be set for rooftop movie and popcorn at Rooftop Cinema Club in Galleria Area.
Friday would be a fun date at Holey Moley Golf USA to play some interactive putt putt! Because who doesn’t love being a kid as a adult!
Saturday a nice bike ride or stroll at Eleanor Tinsley Park to enjoy the breeze with a view, perfect for some outdoor pictures and a picnic in the park!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, Damian Deleon, is my biggest fan, #1 supporter, and my backbone. He constantly provides constructive feedback when needed, encouragement to believe in myself when I doubt, and a comforting hug when I need it most—or just because. His unwavering belief in me, especially when I didn’t believe in myself, has been instrumental in my journey. Because of him, I am where I am today.
