Hi Rain, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Damn! It took you 8 years to get your Bachelors in Nursing degree, You Graduate on 4/2020 right when the entire world shut down due to COVID! Your a single mother of 3 girls, COVID robbed you of walking across the stage. This was your way out of the struggle! You just got laid off, new graduate but no money! What do you do now! I sat for months stressed and depressed until it hit me. After I stop letting Fear of COVID control me, I went for my first job as a new grad nurse, I worked in PACU as a Recovery Plastic Surgery Nurse and the Patients kept asking me, can they take me home to care for them! At first I laughed, and then I began to think a little deeper and then I started my research, to my surprise there’s a whole world of home health plastic surgery recovery providers! But not exactly like my vision, So Boom! My business was about to be BORN!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others is that I actually care if patients don’t like what I provide. I have a passion for making sure my patients are healthy and recovering safely in home with proper care and supplies. I educate them, I educate their family and I take my time with them to make sure they understand how to care for themselves and what signs and symptoms to look out for so that they can save their own life if they are faced with complications. I provide a luxurious service they don’t have to lift a finger. The satisfaction of just knowing that my care has helped save my patients from complications is priceless. I teach them how to protect their investment ( their bodies)!

With my years of education that was just the foundation! I interviewed plastic surgeons on all possible complications, signs and symptoms of what to look out for and tips and tricks of how to care for a patient in home. I interviewed Recovery nurses of all the signs to look out for And what type of interventions you can do in home. I interviewed Pharmacists of what drugs to stay away from while you’re at home recovering, and what drugs to pair together to help create optimum pain relief and comfort at home. I interviewed patients to get their point of view of how recovery is at home and what will help them recover better. I interviewed chefs to see what meals and what nutrients are needed to create healthy healing and a positive recovery. I also interviewed IV Therapist on what type of IV. Vitamin bags will help with surgery recovery.

Once I summarized all of those interviews, that was the recipe in needed to create Rain Post Op recovery Top Tier10 star service!

Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?
No, it was not easy! I faced many challenges. Money! I needed money for marketing and supplies! I just didn’t let nothing stop me or get in my way, and I just kept going, kept calling people back, kept fighting. When one person told me no that just gave me the fuel that I needed to try to get me a yes! After each Road block I faced, I came up with 3 other routes until I found the best way to get to the destination. I’m still building and I am still not where I want to be but I can tell you I am no where near where I started!

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way.
The lesson I learned along the way is that I can’t expect people to have the same love and compassion that I have for my dream! Because it’s my dream!

Another lesson that I learned, is you can still start your business with no money all you need is a vision and dedication and One customer to believe in you! The money will come! True Story
I started with 1 customer who trusted me and their $200 deposit! The rest is history!

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

I want the world to know that your business idea can be a million dollar idea! You will never know if you don’t at least try! My Brand is far from a million dollars but you can’t tell by my reviews! If you lead your business by reviews first, experiences and not money you will always beat your competition because you value people and not money!

God First! I thank him EVERYDAY!!
I want to give a shout out to my old self! If it wasn’t for her hurt, trauma, struggles and sacrifices throughout her young adulthood up until now, this is what created that Fire in her to be the best version of herself! I wouldn’t be the woman I am today! I also want to Shout out My 3 Teen Daughters, because of their Independence , Unconditional love for their mom, determination to always do right, they were able to help keep the house clean, Make meals when I was too tired or stressed out from trying to be an entrepreneur. They stayed focused in school, not getting in trouble and making good grades!! Because of that, I wouldn’t have been able to focus solely on my business to help birth it the way I did. I Also want to thank my mom, she stepped in to help with my daughters, she made sure they went to all their games on time and just stepped in when I couldn’t and when I exhausted my money she was my bank loan that I only had to pay back with love! Lastly I want to thank my back bone, My sweetheart and understanding girlfriend, she was the listening ear when all the doors were not opening right away and my protector when people were trying to take advantage of me! She was also my Coach to help me keep going when the world was too heavy! This is my team! I love them and I owe them everything ❤️
