We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejandro Trevino and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alejandro, what role has risk played in your life or career?
While growing up risk taking ahs always been something i tried to get away from and avoid. But recently these past 2 years I’ve learned that Risks aren’t the bad thing you are told they are. Risk taking is a skill and something that you can master in my opinion. The danger in risk taking is not following through, when you take a risk you need to make sure you work hard to make that risk become more of a decision than a risk. My risk was leaving my job and fully committing to my business without any certainty. Everyone said i was making a mistake and it was a huge risk. Even though I was never sure if it would work but i never gave up and now I’m make well over what I was making at that job. The main thing i made sure i never did was give up.
What should our readers know about your business?
I Have a Automotive Detailing Business and I am planning on expanding to a automotive customization shop. I’ve always been detail oriented and after learning about cars and seeing how much I like them I’ve tried to find a way where I can make a living working with them. I learned how to work on the and still do and love it. Once I started cleaning my family’s cars I realized just how much I loved making a car look like new. I’m different because not only have I started from the very bottom I’m not going to stop till I reach my dream of being able to work with cars and enjoy them. I make sure that with every customer they are satisfied and happy with the result of their vehicle and tell them what their vehicle needs. I made sure no matter what I never gave up and still will not give up. The biggest challenge is staying focused on your goals because as I grew my business from the bottom I didn’t have anyone in my family really believe in me. My parents thought I was crazy for taking such a large risk and my girlfriend didn’t see why I wanted to do this. Now that I am at a checkpoint in my business this is when I need the most support and to get my name out there more and more. I want people to know that even though my business is small right now in a few years me and my business will be very well known. No matter what I need to do I will reach my goals and make sure I am successful.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Houston is a huge place and has so many experiences to offer. I’d suggest to go to all the main areas that have things to offer. For example you can spend a whole day just exploring downtown. Then go to the museum district and talk around the park right behind the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. When it comes to the food almost cant go wrong. There’s so many places to eat and enjoy but id definitely recommend the food truck scene. The next place id recommend is Belaire it has some very nice places and the Chinatown Houston is some of the best lil stores and has some amazing food! Then you can move over to galleria and see all the stores and even stay there. The galleria is where you can find any store you can think of. They have designer, restaurants, clothing, electronics, and jewelry. Then id say it all depends on the person. No matter what there is something for everyone here in Houston. Its very easy to find things for anyone and what they like.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have a huge thanks to YouTube. I know that might sound crazy but I’ve been able to learn so many things off of YouTube and there are so many channels that help give important information to all the people all over the world. I’ve learned many skills and been able to see all types of hobbies and jobs from YouTube and this is where I actually learned how to properly wash a car and protect it. Not only do I love cars, I work on cars and love anything cars. Being able to work with cars is my dream that’s why I love what I do.
