We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I’m from the League City, born and raised.
My upbringing was different growing up from most since I was raised with a strong religious background that taught us that pursuing a higher education or career was not needed and frowned upon.
This definitely impacted me because I knew that I always wanted more out of life and that gave me the drive I needed to pursue the dream that I had.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is my deep passion for all things hair and makeup. I continuously take new classes to further my education and stay current with the latest trends, ensuring my clients receive the best.
I’m most proud of establishing my business and watching it grow, particularly in bridal work, where I’ve been able to make a real impact. Building a high-performing team that shares my dedication and passion has been key to this success.
My journey has been driven by hard work and determination. Balancing a full-time job while attending school required long nights, but I always knew what I needed to do to achieve my goals.
Some things I’ve learned along the way are to take risks, even if they’re intimidating, and not to fear failure because it offers a valuable lesson.
I want my brand to be recognized for delivering personalized experiences that prioritize clients’ needs.”
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love spending time with my friends. A typical day for us is usually shopping at the mall, visiting Sephora, grabbing lunch at In-N-Out or La Brisa for Mexican food and margaritas, and ending the day with a movie.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout my husband for all his support through all the long nights and days of running a business and for holding the fort down with our family. Also my late grandmother Josephina who I wouldn’t of done any of this had it not been for her.
