Perspectives on work life balance

The Coronavirus has given many us an opportunity to pause and think about life, our purpose, and even the right work life balance. What’s your perspective and has it changed over time?

I used to have no work life balance. My life was my work. It was the only thing that gave me an identity . My work was what I needed to lose myself in so I didn’t need to feel too much in my every day life.

In the past, I would have deemed myself a workaholic. My energy was devoted to my career, accomplishments, and climbing the metaphoric ladder of society. Every day I was exhausted, energetically drained, and growing closer and closer to burnout.
