Hi Kiara, what do you attribute your success to?
The success of Honeyboux Candles comes from my commitment to creating eco-friendly products while giving back to the community. Using sustainable materials and supporting causes like Breast Cancer and Mental Health Awareness has allowed me to craft a brand that makes a positive impact in more way than one.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Honeyboux Candles is all about creating eco-friendly, handcrafted candles that bring warmth and meaning to people’s lives. My journey has been one of trial and error, fueled by hard work, dedication, determination and feedback from others. Through markets, customer connections, and constant improvement, I’ve grown the brand into something I’m truly proud of. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to embrace challenges and adapt. Every step has shaped my story and my passion for bringing light and joy to others.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, we’d start the week off with a bowling night—nothing beats some friendly competition and good laughs. For food, I’d take them to some of the best seafood spots in the area to indulge in fresh, flavorful dishes. We’d spend a day exploring local communities, soaking in the culture and charm of the neighborhoods. And, of course, no trip would be complete without some shopping at the Houston Premium Outlets—finding great deals and unique pieces is always a thrill. It would be a week filled with good food, fun outings, and quality time!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shoutout to the people around me who inspire me daily-my family, friends, and the amazing small business community. While I’ve built Honeyboux Candles through my own ideas and determination, the support and encouragement from those around me have been a constant source of motivation. They remind me to keep going, even on the toughest days.
