We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crystal, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Barcode Hair Lounge was created to provide a space with diversity. We offer a wide range of services for all ethnicities.

As one of the owners of Barcode Hair Lounge. It is very near and dear to my heart to bring what I have learned in my 20 years of service and implement those same values in our business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a minority owned business what sets us apart is that we sends a strong message of inclusivity. It acknowledges the diverse backgrounds and cultures that make up our society, making customers from different ethnicities feel seen, valued, and included

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had best friend visiting. I would definitely take them to check out a Houston Texans or Astros game at the NRG Stadium.

The Warwick would be my choice for dinner and drinks.

If they wanted to hang out I would take the to the Downtown Historic District Market Square. They have great art district.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Blanca Clay (Owner) and I (Crystal Davis-Owner would thank God for the grace, wisdom, and means to run the business.

We would like to personally thank our family’s for all of their support from helping us set-up and the opening of the salon, being a listening ear, and just booking an appointment.
