We had the good fortune of connecting with Dimple Bhakta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dimple, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
3Sixty Events is a three partner company, Dimple Bhakta, Namratha Maisuria, and Jigna Bhakta. All three of us were friends before the birth of this company and had this idea to create a company to help others fulfill their vision when it comes to event planning! We all came from planning experience in some form, whether it may be from wedding planning or corporate events. We thought since we all share this passion of event planning, why not come together and build our own company. So with a set mission in mind, 3Sixty Events was born! We have added the talented Sidhhi Bhakta to our team and we are going to continue to expand our team.

What should our readers know about your business?
Majority of us are first generation business owners and an all women employed company! We all have a passion for the wedding industry and all have a unique role! We love taking our couple’s visions and helping them execute it into a reality. Wedding planning is never an easy task! We specialize in Indian weddings which majority of the time entails 2-3 days of events! We love getting to know our couples, where they come from, what their story is, who their family members are, etc. When one starts a new business, you can come across many challenges. We only had a few contacts within the industry so making new connections and finding and building relationships with other vendors was definitely a challenge, but now, we have many vendors that we have great working relationships with! We have learned many lessons! We always say, no wedding is the same. Each and every wedding comes with its own challenge and there is ALWAYS something to learn from each and every wedding. What sets us apart is that we love getting to know the couple and what is important to them. We get to know their families who are heavily involved in ceremonies. We like to explain step by step what to expect. For us, it is easy to sometimes forget that the other person may not know what to expect as this could be the first time they are planning a wedding in their families. So taking the time, explaining all the ceremonies, really is beneficial to not only the couple, but the family members that are involved as well. This helps by everyone being on the same page and avoiding any confusion the day of! We love to show case the events as they are happening on Instagram/Facebook so our social media followers can follow along and feel as if they were there in person to witness all the beautiful ceremonies!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love how diverse Houston is whether it is with the people or with the food! There are a few places that we have taken our friends around town like Heights Bier Garten and Woosters Garden. We love a good cocktail so to enjoy one, some of the spots we love are Anvil, I Know The Owner, Loch Bar, Z on 23rd.
Some restaurants we enjoy include North Italia, Kirans, and of course, our favorite Tex-Mex, Chuys. But our all time favorite places to take people that are visiting are local food trucks! Nothing beats tacos!!
We enjoy activities like Top Golf, Museum District is a must for anyone that is visiting, and the beautiful Hermann Park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would LOVE to recognize fellow vendors within our wedding industry! We would not be where we are today if we did not have vendors who we can trust and uplift us. We take pride in the community we work in. Due to them and their guidance, we are able to work together as a team and make our couples dream come true. When the team works, our couple’s dreams and vision is executed. With that being said, we would not be where we are if we didn’t have the support and encouragement of our family and friends. They are our biggest cheerleaders!
