We had the good fortune of connecting with Carnella Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carnella, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
The habit of staying consistent and basically disciplining myself to be the best me that I can be. I’ve always wanted to be more so I’ve always practice getting into the habit of handling my business in order on time even though it doesn’t always go that way.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
This is a great question just like any artist I’m crazy about my work. I’ve always been into creating things making things into something better than what they are or have been even when it comes to myself. So when it comes to music, it’s deep for me. I get emotional. I get discouraged, I get overly encouraged to where I moved too fast and that can make you stumble . Even though this journey has been up down sideways I’m learning and it’s teaching me again about being consistent and Staying consistent and discipline so my dreams can come true for me all of those people I mentioned that pushed me and my family. I’m such a cancer so at times I get antsy and I will move on from one dream to the next, but the music has taught me how much of me is needed to make anything that I want to come true, come true.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Jamaica, the most free place I have ever visited in my life. I would take them to Negril Jamaica straight Hedonism resort . (Lol) this is actually a naked resort that I visited when I was a part of a reality TV show. I guess it was a part of our winnings. People think naked and think nasty but it’s not all about that. Everybody was so free in their own skin talking drinking eating regular conversations and I enjoyed it. Maybe it’s cancer in me, I’m a water-sign and in water we get naked. So, Negril Jamaica here we come ! lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I will start with God I’m Very religious and without him, I don’t know where I would be. It Wouldn’t be right if I didn’t shout out the beautiful people that he put in my life. I’m just gonna make a list and just know that all of these people had a role in helping me make my dreams come true with this music. I’m going to start with Big Will the Party King from VA, Larry Dean better known as June my manager, Myron Wilson my number one, Last but not least Huncho from Houston, Texas my brother.
