Meet Marc Rios

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Marc Rios again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Marc, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
My name is Marc Antonio Rios, I am a filmmaker based in San Antonio, Texas but raised in Von Ormy, a small town on the outskirts of the city. Growing up in the middle of nowhere unleashed my imagination through my art and craft which later down the line became the start of my filmmaking career. Realistically, filmmaking as of right now doesn’t pay the bills but it’s doing what you hate that funds your passion projects, that’s the drive that keeps me going. What sets me apart from other filmmakers is the amount of work and passion I have towards my projects. Being in the oilfield with constantly traveling the states is a buzzkill and drains me mentally and physically but I still push myself to overcome many challenges and to perfect every aspect in my craft no the circumstances.
From writing this follow-up in the interview, I had been involved in some local productions such as features and even a TV-Show based in San Antonio. It’s been quite a bumpy journey but I’m excited to see where my filmmaking career takes me.
Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
Currently it’s hard to focus on a single project due to the amount of travel that is required from my job but it’s beneficial for a big feature film that I am working on, I’m able to take advantage of different locations such as New York City, Nebraska and various states from jobsites I travel and utilize the footage I shoot for my projects to make my production value look more “expensive”. My feature film has been years in the making and really excited to share this project among the masses.
