Today we’re excited to be connecting with Stacy Thomas again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Stacy , always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
Introduction & Brand Overview
Hi, I’m Stacy, the founder of Mossy and Tea LLC, a photography brand dedicated to capturing timeless, evocative imagery. My work focuses on storytelling through photography, blending natural elements with rich, atmospheric tones to create compelling visual narratives.
What sets me apart is my ability to merge fine art and photography, creating images that feel both intimate and expansive. I’m particularly drawn to themes of nature, texture, and emotion, often incorporating earthy aesthetics that evoke a sense of warmth and depth.
My journey into photography has been one of continuous learning and creative exploration. Over the years, I’ve refined my skills, experimented with different mediums, and expanded my artistic vision. While I started with portrait photography, I’m now shifting toward creating art for exhibitions and curated collections, moving beyond traditional photography services to focus on artistic expression and storytelling.
Currently, I’m working on building my portfolio, exploring new techniques, and developing projects that align with my creative vision. My goal is to create work that resonates deeply with viewers, whether through fine art photography, editorial-style imagery, or conceptual projects that push boundaries.
I’m excited about this next phase of my journey and look forward to sharing more of my work with the world.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
Since our last conversation, my journey in photography and creative expression has evolved in exciting ways. I’ve been focused on expanding Mossy and Tea LLC, shifting from a service-based photography model to a more artistic and storytelling-driven approach. My goal is to create work that isn’t just visually striking but also deeply emotive and meaningful.
One of the biggest shifts has been my exploration of fine art photography. I’ve been experimenting with new techniques, refining my editing style, and pushing myself to create images that feel both timeless and contemporary. I’m particularly drawn to earthy, textural elements that bring warmth and depth to my work, and I’m working on incorporating more of those natural aesthetics into my upcoming projects.
I’ve also been exploring exhibition opportunities and looking at ways to transition into selling my photography as fine art. The idea of seeing my work in galleries or curated spaces is something I’m really excited about, and I’m in the process of developing a body of work that aligns with that vision.
Of course, growth comes with its challenges. Balancing the creative process with the business side of things has been a learning experience, and I’m working on refining my brand, marketing strategy, and overall direction. But the journey has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m embracing each step of the evolution.
Right now, I’m most excited about expanding my portfolio, experimenting with new creative mediums, and finding unique ways to present my work. The future feels open and full of possibilities, and I’m looking forward to seeing where this next chapter takes me.

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
For me, making difficult choices comes down to alignment, clarity, and trust. I always ask myself:
• Does this decision align with my long-term vision and values?
• What am I gaining, and what am I sacrificing?
• Will this choice bring me closer to growth, creativity, or fulfillment?
I believe that every choice is an investment—whether it’s in time, energy, or resources. I weigh my options by considering what will serve me in the long run, rather than just what feels good in the moment. Sometimes, that means saying no to things that seem exciting but don’t fit my bigger picture. Other times, it means taking a leap of faith and trusting that even uncertainty has a purpose.
Creatively, I’ve had to make choices about where to focus my energy—balancing exploration with discipline. Whether it’s refining my photography, expanding my brand, or deciding which projects to pursue, I trust my instincts and listen to what truly excites me.
At the end of the day, I believe in giving myself permission to evolve. No decision is set in stone, and even the hardest choices lead to growth.
