Hi Damekia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was very driven. In 2023 I was pregnant with my 4th child at the age of 24 and I knew I wanted more for myself and my children. I prayed to God for various signs before I asked myself what would be the fastest way I can elevate my lifestyle and earn a substantial source of income in a certain time frame. I thought about many things but the first thing that prompted in my head was ” become a tax professional and a lifestyle content creator ” I was not expecting to get as far as where I am today but Thanks to the faith that I have in the God I serve Im now here. God has not let me down throughout my journey, One thing i will disclose is that no one showed me how to create content, I am completely self taught. I can do all things through christ who strengthens me, God is within in me and I will not fail. I now earn money from my 6 figure tax business bringing in over $130K+ a year and my business does such great numbers because I am a lifestyle content creator, i’m transparent and honest with my followers. So when people see that raw and uncut personality they gravitate towards me during tax season. Outside of my tax business i offer credit repair services, im currently working on a small content creators class to teach others how to edit, monetize, earn money from social media, receive free PR and gifted collabs. My Tax Business / Finance Business and content creation (KlassiMeek) goes hand in hand. This business was original going to be what carried me through Nursing school because of how crucial nursing school is I didnt want to work a regular 9-5 while focusing on my studies, im thankful I took a leap of faith and became my own boss So i can earn my BSN-RN. Future wise my end goal is between Nurse Practitioner or DNP-CRNA doctor of nursing practice certified registered nurse anesthesiologist, it just made more sense for me to be an entrepreneur so that I could achieve my professional goals.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My business is a very fast paced business during the beginning of the year. What sets me apart from other tax professionals would simply be my professionalism and communication skills. I ensure that due diligence is done when preparing my clients information and that everything is signed and reviewed before submission. I made it where I am today business wise by assisting everyone that contacts me regarding assistance during tax season. Another thing would be my lifestyle content creation reaching different potential clients around the world. A simple kind response can get you very far in this industry truth be told. However the process was not easy, I have hundreds of clients and a tax team of women older and younger than me that I manage underneath me. Next year my team will grow larger so the load of running a tax business and team will be heavier but im prepared. One thing i will mention is that having to talk to so many people was quite interesting, I plan to hire an assistant for 2026 to assist me with managing my tax preparers and my tax clients. I want the world to know that I take pride in everything I do, I enjoy being able to help and assist my clients before during and after their tax filing process with JSSG Finance Tax Preparation and Credit Repair Services. I enjoy being a tax professional and I also enjoy being a content creator, once I graduate nursing school with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2028 Ill be incorporating entrepreneurship + nursing\lifestyle content .

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my bestfriend was visiting the area I would take her to a list of places ” Joey Uptown, RA Sushi, Roux Pour, Steak48, Maven Coffee & Cocktail, Maryz, Toca Madera, a wine bar, a brazilian steakhouse, guard and grace, PDA girls night out, Savior, a speakeasy etc ” I frequently visit places in the galleria, to eat and have a drink. I would also take her to river oaks district to shop or catch a movie at iPic. 9/10 we would go to hang out at a coffee bar earlier in the day. A candle making class, mini golf and drinks, spa day, etc. Now for a night out we would probably do a night club or lounge in the heights area. In my view the most fun and very interesting people would be in the mid-day/night life. I could name so many places but i wont be tooo specific because some days could be a hit or miss for others however I have a ball whenever I go out so i’d recommend Confessions, Thirteen, the address, Chapman and Kirby, nameless by nomad, ador, playground, DND, reset, social junkie, zen lounge houston etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost GOD deserves recognition, God said not to worry so I do not worry often I trust in god and bet on myself every time with everything I do. Others that deserves a little recognition in my story would be my 4 children they are the reason I aspire to be so much more in life and my mentor, my well trusted friend Brittany Thomas . Brittany introduced me into the Tax/Credit Repair industry as well as real estate, she has been an amazing support system and mentor to me.
