We had the good fortune of connecting with Asia Hackett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Asia, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve always had a deep love for design and knew early on that I wanted my life and career to revolve around creating beauty. While I’m passionate about many areas of design, gifting has always felt like my true love language. There’s something incredibly meaningful about a thoughtfully curated gift that can brighten someone’s day and touch their heart. For me, it’s not just about aesthetics – I wanted to create something that would bring others joy.

That’s why I started Sweet Tea + Magnolias Gift Co. – to turn that passion into something tangible and to help others express love, gratitude, and celebration through beautifully curated gifts.

Sweet Tea + Magnolias is a modern, luxury gifting brand that’s rooted in heart and intention. We’re proudly woman-owned and passionate about curating gifts that feel personal and meaningful. From self-care moments for new moms to elevated housewarming baskets or client appreciation gifts, we believe that luxury should still feel personal. Whether it’s a small gesture or a big celebration, our mission is to make gifting feel thoughtful, beautiful and unforgettable.

What sets Sweet Tea + Magnolias apart is our commitment to curating elevated gifts that reflect the thoughtfulness behind every gesture. We work closely with our clients to understand their vision, their budget, and the message they want to send – ensuring every basket or box feels custom, intentional, and worthy of life’s most meaningful moments.

What I’m most excited about is seeing Sweet Tea + Magnolias grow into an established brand that continues to offer people a luxurious, heartfelt way to show they care.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The top 2 restaurants I’d want us to visit for brunch (because we LOVE a good brunch spot!) are The Honey Hole on Post Oak and Max’s Wine Dive.
I’d also want to make sure we included a steak & sushi night out so we would dress up and dine at Roka Akor.
For a more casual girl dinner, I’d choose Blue Sushi Sake Grill.

For fun, we’d most likely check out The Escape Room, Color Factory and Post Houston.
The last two are also great for photo ops 😉

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So many people I’d like to recognize for my shoutout but first, of course, I give all glory to God for gifting me with many talents and allowing me to use those talents to bring others joy.
Next, I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my sweet husband – your constant support, encouragement and belief in me mean everything and I couldn’t chase any of these dreams without you!

I’d also like to shoutout my parents – thank you for instilling confidence, uplifting me, and praying for me.

And shoutout to the friends who have supported my business thus far – whether through a purchase, sharing a post on social media, mentioning my business to others, or simply offering kind and encouraging words.
Every gesture, big or small, has meant the world to me, and I’m truly grateful.
