Meet Jason Browne | Band Instrument Repair Technician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Browne and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Integrity and consistency! Doing the right thing all the time. I don’t take shortcuts. My goal is to produce a quality product and repair with every customer and every instrument.
It doesn’t matter who the customer is, they are always going to get the highest quality. That has been the reason for the success and expansion of JB’s bandit, Instrument Repair.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
One thing that sets me apart from other repair shops is that you actually get to meet the person working on your instrument. I like that I get the opportunity to connect with my customers. It’s fun getting to show them some of the tools in the process of repairing certain brass instruments.
It’s fun watching their face light up when they get a glimpse into the world of band Instrument Repair. It’s an exciting career and one that most people don’t realize that even exists.
It’s fun being able to provide a solution to this need

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I think one of the first places that I would take them to would be space Center Houston. My girlfriend works in the space industry and I just find outer space and space exploration mind blowing.
If I were to take them to breakfast, I would probably take them to the Seabrook waffle Company they have some of the most delicious waffles in all kinds of toppings that you could think of. There are a small business and have that small business feel. The people that work there are always happy to see you.
I would definitely take them to a Houston Symphony concert. In Houston, we have a world class Symphony Orchestra! I have studied trumpet with several of the players in the orchestra. So, I know how amazing the music will be!
For dinner, I would take them to midnight slice in Seabrook. They have some of the best pizza there! It is always fun to watch my daughter‘s face light up when I tell her we’re going go there.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a shout out to my girlfriend, Brooke. Thank you for all the help behind the scenes.
Thank you to my daughter Berkley. It is so interesting and amazing to see your curiosity when you walk into my shop.
Thank you to my students for all your hard work and learning your music and perfecting your craft at playing the trumpet.
Thank you to these following school districts: Clear Creek, Pearland, Galveston, Dickinson, Goose Creek, Alvin!! thank you for the opportunity to be able to work on your instruments and get them back in the hands of the students who play them so well.
