We had the good fortune of connecting with Rose Cantu, DDS and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rose, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
What sets Elite Smile Center of The Woodlands apart from other dental offices is the belief that oral health impacts the entire body and soul and how truly understanding those connections brings optimal health and healing.

Author of the soon to be released book, “Renewing Your Smile,” Dr. Cantu, who is also owner and visionary for Elite Smile Center of The Woodlands, explains the importance of the oral microbiome and its effects on the entire body. Her book also includes delicious cuisine and is a lifestyle guide for a healthier smile, body and soul.

For Dr. Cantu, dentistry is not a career—it’s a calling. Each patient who sits in her chair carries a story, a set of challenges, and often a deep-seated fear. Her role, as she sees it, is more than technical mastery. The vision in developing the brand of Elite Smile Center of The Woodlands was about creating a sanctuary of beauty and warmth, where a smile becomes the bridge between healing and hope.

Step inside her office, and you immediately sense her vision brought to life. Sparkling chandeliers glisten against marble flooring, and the air carries a soothing aroma. The sleek, modern design whispers luxury, but it’s the unexpected joy that lingers: a frozen yogurt bar. Hand-selected by Dr. Cantu herself, the creamy blends are filled with probiotics, non-GMO, gluten-free, sugar-free, and kosher. “I wanted to share a piece of happiness with my patients that is a reflection of what we believe… that our choices of foods can either add to our health or deplete it,” she says with a smile. “Frozen yogurt is one of my favorite things—it’s simple, sweet, healthy, is great for our oral microbiome, and brings people together.”
