We had the good fortune of connecting with Emma Bedingfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emma, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I didn’t originally set out to start a business, I set out to create an escape.
What started as a space for moms like me to step away from the constant demands of life and truly exhale, quickly expanded to a place where we all could feel pampered, cared for, and a little spoiled, without it feeling like breaking the bank!
Having worked in spa environments and a podiatrist office, I experienced firsthand the small, thoughtful touches that make something feel truly luxurious and the importance of nail health. This showed me the medical side of care being just as important as the beauty. That balance became a core part of my philosophy.
From the beginning, I’ve focused on creating an experience rather than just providing a service. Every detail, from the atmosphere to the client care, is intentional, blending elevated beauty with wellness and education so clients leave feeling better than when they walked in.
Looking ahead, my vision is to continue expanding that experience into a full wellness environment. Beauty, relaxation, and self-care all exist in one place, and every guest feels truly taken care of.
Luxury, to me, isn’t about price, it’s about how you feel when you’re in the space.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey as a nail artist is really what defines my work today. Like most nail technicians, I went through the early stages of trial and error—the chunky, uneven sets, the nails that didn’t last, and designs I once loved but now look back on and laugh. It wasn’t perfect, but it was necessary. From the beginning, my mom was my biggest supporter. She let me practice on her constantly and always gave me honest feedback. She was my Mr. Miyagi. Someone who helped shape my foundation and pushed me to keep improving.
I want to say what sets me apart is the intention behind my work. I don’t just focus on creating something beautiful; I focus on the health of the nail as well, but something that might be bigger is that I don’t see competition. I heard once, “Don’t compare your first year to someone else’s twelfth year.” I stand by this til this day and share it often with my upcoming nail techs. I love meeting nail techs from all over so when I see someone searching in their area I can refer them. I love supporting others. We all start somewhere.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend came to stay with me for a week, we’d start the trip off right at Lucy Blues for drinks and karaoke. Fun way to decompress a bit and have some fun right away.
For breakfast, we’d definitely make a stop at Pat’s Donuts, off 105. It’s a local favorite. I’d also take them to LifeTime Fitness, because it’s such a unique space with everything from fitness to spa and food. We have to work off all those donuts and plus LifeTime is an experience alone.
To slow things down, we’d spend some time outdoors at Carl Barton Jr. Park and enjoy the nature trails. Then go for lunch at Citizen’s Grill. Their macaroni cheese balls are too good not to share. And I recently discovered Blue Giraffe, which has been such a fun spot for both breakfast and dinner.
And of course, I’d have to bring them into my space for a little pampering, because that’s truly what I love to share most.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a special thank you to my grandma, my mom, and my husband.
My grandma always encouraged me to chase my dreams and believe in what was possible for my life. My mom is truly the reason it all began and she pushed me to pursue my license. She saw something in me before I fully saw it in myself. And my husband has been my biggest supporter through every stage of this journey, constantly believing in me and never letting me give up.
