We had the good fortune of connecting with Meera Raval and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meera, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my LLC during the pandemic when I realized that I really enjoyed working from home. Initially, I looked into working for a big company that hired virtual Speech Therapists. However, none of them were going to pay a decent hourly wage. That got me to thinking that I should start an LLC and decide my own prices for private 1:1 Speech Therapy sessions.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Super Speech Solutions, LLC was designed to fit the needs of my family. Since I started it during the pandemic, I was initially only seeing children and adults virtually. Then, a few months later, I transitioned to mobile in person 1:1 Speech Therapy sessions. I did this from June 2021-April 2023. During this time, I created a schedule that included lunch with my loving parents twice a week. After April 2023, I was very blessed to take an extended maternity leave for two years!

When I re-launched in April 2025, I decided to resume seeing children virtually so that I could work from home since our boys are still so young. At the beginning of this year, I began providing social media management services to pediatric Speech Therapists who have their own practices. It has allowed me to have additional income while working from home. I truly enjoy helping other pediatric Speech Therapists by creating custom made Facebook posts for their business pages. I am glad to be able to offer this service to them as I got 60% of my pediatric private pay caseload from Facebook when I was doing mobile in person 1:1 Speech Therapy sessions. I am also about to release my first digital product to help pediatric Speech Therapists with social media content.

I want fellow entrepreneurs to know that you can always change what you do with your business to fit the needs of your family.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love living in the middle of the city. There are so many activities we can do with our kids like music class and art class. When my husband and I have gone out on dates, we have enjoyed going to Escape The Room on Louisana St. and mini-golf at Holey Moley on Weslayan St.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my family: my parents, husband, brother, and sister-in-law for their unconditional love and support. They were all critical in being my cheerleaders in the endeavor of starting my own Speech Therapy practice!
