Writers in particular, take huge risks every time they put pen to paper in my opinion. I say that because whether it’s a song, a book, or an article, you are putting not just your work out there for all to see, but you’re putting yourself in the spotlight. Whether it be fiction or non-fiction, you expose parts of yourself to the world when you put your thoughts on paper. It may not resemble you at all, but because it came from you; you’re in there somewhere and often you pray that some keen-eyed reader won’t find you. That said, writing is especially risky for me because I’m a tad bit introverted. This business forces me to go way beyond my natural limits as far being social. It also caused me to take a leap of faith. I’ve always loved to write but was afraid to just do it. Afraid no one would read my work; afraid, afraid, afraid. But I put everything, including my fears, aside to do the work God has called me to do and I have never felt more fulfilled in my life.
