We had the good fortune of connecting with Dennie Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dennie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Just the thought of starting a business was frightening to me. All though i’ve alway liked the idea of working for myself automatically my brain started to throw a million questions at me. Most of them doubting myself and the fear that something could go wrong or that i wouldn’t be good at it. For me, it has been a gradual process. After having my first son, i knew i wanted to stay home and soak in every minute of being a mom. I’ve always been pretty independent, so i wanted to continue to contribute financially to our home. I then thought, “i want to do something where i could make a difference and help people.” A good friend of mine who started her own franchise as a credit repair agent planted this career opportunity to me and i was intrigued and the rest is history. I work from home, i have freedom of my time, i enjoy my kids and i help people have a new chance to do things right financially. help my clients understand the importance of good credit and teach them how to not make the same mistakes. My goal is to help them reach their goals weather is being debt free, buying their dream home or learning how to manage their money.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What i like the most about what i do is the the excitement of my clients when they see their results. Im proud to offer my clients excellent customer service and actually show them i care. It has been a bumpy road because when i first started no one knew me, but consistency and hard work has helped me achieve each of the goals i have set for myself. I believe i will always have challenges as they are part of my growth but its how i refuse to give up that helps me get through those challenges. I continue to also educate myself, as humans is impossible to know it all, we learn on a daily. Is important to listen and learn to accept constructive criticism.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am all about the outdoors. I love hiking, nature, a day at a river. When it comes to food i like trying new things so you will find me on instagram searching for the restaurant. I like small holes on the wall or even the new popular lunch truck.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are definitely two people that have pushed me since day one. My wonderful husband Javier Gonzalez and my mentor-friend Ailyn Gomez. I still consider myself a work in progress but happy to have these two backing me up, motivating me and giving me their honest opinion. Ailyn has been an amazing guidance and believer in my potential to take my business to the next level. My husband, yikes, he supports anything i do. He makes me feel that i can do anything i want and thats just beautiful!
