We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonathan Denning and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonathan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The intent has been to generate a community of people interested in wellness that we all want to see win and leave feeling empowered. We could all work together simply in this system of generosity. And that’s really where all this came from, and we’re thriving. We’re seeing that when the system grows, everybody grows, and that’s what drives us and keeps me going.

The thought process was systematic, though, was to do it the right way and build something that lasts with friends to work together and do something that will truly transform the way bespoke wellness service is delivered.

And do it together. So yeah, the thought was to create an impact for others so they can’t help but share it with others they know. We learned that to do that required special skills, people with the highest levels of honesty, awareness, and compassion. The South is rich in these amazing people, so it makes sense for us to start here.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It’s been a challenge, but it’s been such a blessing to be here in Houston because it’s just a hotbed for creativity. And so, I always feel supported by the community and free to kind of put things out as I have something to say. I have always been quite creative, so when I came up to start designing spaces built for wellness, I jumped at the opportunity.

So many creative and artistic paths have aligned with my previous careers, so my approach has been like playing connect the dots with experiences to make sense of the journey. Still, then when everything comes together for these transformative moments with clients that impact large populations, you’re just very humbled.

And so this is one of those times, right, where you get to work with others who are just very humbling because they’re masters in their field, and they’re looking to you for answers; they’re looking to you for the next thing to create the paycheck. That’s, that’s just a very humbling place. And it’s a fascinating place to be in, so I enjoy where, you know, I get to work because everyone around me likes to stay in the service of transformation.

And that can be kind of unsettling for some people on the outside. And that’s sort of the artist’s struggle, right? The creativity, the battle of producing, and doing, yet ‘doing’ with stability from a place of peace. So that’s another little side benefit, right? I get to be around all of these excellent health and wellness practitioners and benefit from their knowledge.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
