We had the good fortune of connecting with Shauna L and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shauna, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’m a firm believer that without risk there is no chance of success. I don’t know one entrepreneur that isn’t a risk taker. I consider myself a pretty fearless person due to life circumstances. At 18 years old I was on life support after having my twins. Having a second chance at life has pushed me to live life to the fullest. That outlook helps me tremendously in business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Lamore Lifestyle Public Relations assists brands with increasing their visibility and media exposure by media relations, press mentions, social media enhancement, collaborations/partnerships and strategic campaigning. Our campaigns have raised thousands of dollars in grants, sponsorships and more for client needs. Our firm has years of experience in brand partnerships, media relations and more with the use of unique platforms, social proof and exclusive execution. Our strategic campaigns have garnered an increase in revenue for our clients with the top-tier in media coverage that ranges from urban media to other highly visible platforms.

Clients have appeared in Essence, Travel Noire, Sheen, Good Morning Washington, Fox News, Cosmopolitan, Yahoo News, Rolling Out, Black Enterprise, Entrepreneur, Hello Beautiful, Good Morning America, Black Girls Rock, The Grio, Good Day DC, Houston Press, 21 Ninety and hundreds of others.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My best friend will be coming to visit me soon in Houston and our first spot is Jamaica Pon Di Road. They have top tier Jamaican cuisine. The food and owners are so amazing that the mayor of Houston even attended their grand opening.

After that I’d definitely go to the Houston aquarium.

If we’re going for a night out I’d probably suggest Kamp Houston because they’re open until 2am some nights.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this Shoutout to my daughters who are my motivation on the days I need a push. I’d also like to acknowledge my partner and soulmate Anthony. There aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am for how much you pour love and life into me and our businesses.
