We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyanna Hackney-Bailey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyanna, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to inspire other women and young girls as cliche as it may sound, that is truly my passion. Women have so many great ideas and talents but we don’t always use them or we are scared to fail. I wanted to show others it can be done and yea you may fail once or even a few times, but women were built strong it’s in our genes.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have been in the legal field for 11 years now. I’ve worked in sole proprietorship firms as well as some of the top tier firms. I love my line work because I get to help others. I’m so proud of the years and dedication I’ve put into my career. It took a lot of hard work, long hours and dedication to gain the knowledge that I have in my field. There were days and nights where I wanted to quit and never turn back but I’m not a quitter I’m a fighter. I’ve learned to have more patience and to let things happen and look at the good in everything. I believe everyone should apply this concept in their lives. Who knows what the future holds for me, but whatever it is I know I’m giving my all and nothing less!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Downtown Houston is full of fun and exciting things to do, one of my favorite places to visit is the Marriot Marquis which is known for their Texas shaped lazy River and their exotic rooftop lounge and bar area. I like to visit Pour Behavior for some Nightlife fun. When I’m craving a delicious meal, one of my favorite spots is Phil and Derek. Not only is their food amazing but the live music is nice as well!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I come from a family of strong women, my cousin Krystal Hackney has always been my inspiration. She’s really tough, no matter what comes her way to knock her down, she knows how to come back 10 times stronger. She’s also an event planner.
