We had the good fortune of connecting with Charmaine and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charmaine, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Mama Me Time Wellness Spa is located in Charlotte, North Carolina and we are the absolute best at helping women break up with pain, stress and tension for good. Highly recommended and five star Google rated, our clients love us because we are the only Spa service providers with Nannies on staff so that our members can truly unwind and relax.

Our mission is to provide a world-class spa experience, for our clients and team members. A safe environment where beauty, comfort, knowledge, and personalized attention creates the most memorable and rejuvenating experience.

When we first opened our doors back in July 2021, we recognized that the number one reason behind last minute cancellations were based on childcare. Mama Me Time was created to help women commit to their necessary self-care time and because our members struggled with finding reliable sitters, we wanted to become a resource for them. Not only can our members receive luxurious massage and spa services in the comfort of their homes, but how amazing is it that we also provide a certified nanny to keep the children occupied while you get the self-care you deserve.

Maybe you already have reliable childcare and you’re looking forward to visiting us at our location, that’s not a problem! Because our spa services are built on memberships, all of our clients receive our guaranteed premium booking experience.

Here at Mama Me Time, we pride our company on our core values of: Integrity, Kindness, Commitment, Respect, and Service. Follow us on our journey on Facebook and Instagram @mamametimeclt

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My professional career began three weeks after graduating from Clark Atlanta University May 2013. I joined Corporate America as a Medical Sales Associate and began climbing the corporate ladder to my latest role as an Executive Territory Business Manager. After the birth of my first child back in August 2017, I experienced postpartum depression due to childbirth trauma and as a result, I became a Doula, Childbirth Educator and Lactation Counselor so I can help other women. I saw the positive impact massage therapy had on my clients both prenatally and postnatally. I wanted to help my clients, but also other women in the community so I enrolled in Massage Therapy school, passed my Board exam and became a Licensed Massage & Bodywork Therapy. Thus far, I have helped approximately 150 women break up with pain for good, educated 50 first time parents on childbirth and lactation, welcomed 30 Doula babies, and built a loyal community because of my work to empower and educate.

The road has not been easy, but I am driven by my desire to help others by creating a sacred platform (Mama Me Time) for women just like me. The hard-working mama, who deserves a place to take a much needed break. I can’t rest until my purpose is fulfilled.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
June 2021, I discovered Candace Holyfield-Parker @sixfigurespachick on Instagram and my life completely changed for the better. I immediately joined the Spa Boss Tribe and began learning from Spa professionals. Not only did I receive the knowledge, but I also received the confidence to take my leap. I began creating Mama Me Time during the pregnancy of my second child (2020-2021), but I became ready to commit to my launch because of Candace and all that I have learned from her community in such a short period of time.
