We had the good fortune of connecting with Dae Carter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dae, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Consistency would be the most important factor. It’s very cliche but it’s ultimately the determining factor behind any brands success. The days when you feel like doing nothing at all, you must show up for your brand.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own a luxury wig shop in Houston, TX. I can never say it was easy to get to where I am today. It look a lot of sacrifice and decision making. I’ve learned that being an entrepreneur is and will never be a cake walk. There will be ups and downs but you must ride the wave and have the faith in your brand that everything will work in your favor.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would do brunch at Kiss Houston. Take a well needed spa day at the Post Oak Hotel and then get dinner and drinks at Kamp Houston.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents, cousins and significant other all contributed to where I am today and how I got here. I’ve learned a lot from them along the way.
