We had the good fortune of connecting with Renee Johns O’Meara and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renee, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
First starting out in my career I was not happy with where I was working, but I looked at both of my jobs right out of school as building blocks. How can this job teach me to be better, what can I learn from this to be a good business person in the future? Even though I was not happy with where I was prior to owning my own business I looked at every job and internship as a learning experience. It helped get me to the type of Chiropractor that I am today! My business and career have both taught to me to just keep going. If you are not where you want to be today you will be someday, so don’t give up. On a daily basis my business let’s me know to not take things so seriously. If I had one bad day prior the next day could be the best day of the week. Keep your head up, keep moving and doing what you know and love to do, and things will fall into place.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I had gotten laid off during Covid from a clinic I was working at. I saw this as my sign that it was time to get Life Aligned off the ground. I wanted to do something that was a little unique, I had not seen anyone in Houston doing mobile with an office on wheels that patients step into. I wanted to be able to spend more time with patients and really get down to the root cause of the problem. This allowed me to do that. My main goal with Life Aligned is to help as many people as I can. I want to help them live a better life and function better. I also wanted to make it easier for people to stick to their treatment plan. You can not hit any goal in life without consistency, the same goes for chiropractic. Nothing about building a business is easy, ask anyone! Most days you are figuring it out as you go, so being able to adapt to change is vital! However, I think that is one of the things I like most!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband, Robert O’Meara, who was with me through school and now owning a business. My friend Charlinie Ragoonanan who helps me get through the bad days and stay the course.
